Dear Dad,

November 27,
Hi Dad,

Had a great time seeing you over the holiday...hey, how come we didn't get a Christmas tree while we were in Tillamook? Are you getting one this year (I noticed there were some really big ones up in the neighborhood...just remember, it's okay if other people have bigger Christmas trees than you. Wow, those big ones look so beautiful.

Also, how come there are no Christmas lights on your house? Also, I noticed you never played any Christmas music. Also, you never asked what I wanted for Christmas (answer: world peace, and for Kate Beckinsale to return to the Underworld franchise, and also a book). What book are you reading now? I never asked. What would you say is your best Christmas memory ever, and also, Magdelana figured out that you are pretending to be Santa Claus. There's some tension. Sorry, but it's kind of your fault for pretending. Also, you never made whipped cream, like you said you would.

Also, what would you like for Christmas? No promises, just asking.

Dear Dad,

Hi Father,

Sorry if we've kept crossing up on FB...did you try IM-ing me? Probably not, just wanted to check. Hey, my brother Jonny made it down there earlier...would you guys mind not watching any films without me? I would feel terribly left out. Thanks much.

Also, you left some power tools at our place...was thinking of putting them up on eBay. If you DON'T want me to sell them, just let me know here on FB in the next ten minutes. I'll wait around.

Later, turkey,

J.

Hey Dad,

Hey Dad,

I've missed you on Facebook the last couple days; you've probably been busy Twittering. Hey, do you by chance have time to go to Disneyland this weekend? It would be a fast trip, but we'd love to have you come if you're able - we just need you to pick up the plane tickets.

You know...zip me your Amex number and I'll just pick up tix for all of us (might be easier if I just use the card for the Disney tickets too..right?). Do you mind paying for hotel also? We'll pick up the coffee tab on Sunday morning to even things out. Alright, guess you're in line at the Twilight premiere, so just message me later.

Joseph.

Dear Dad,

Hello, Father,

Was going to do P90X tonight and thought of you. But then I realized Modern Family was on so I watched it and ate chocolate chips instead. Overall, I think you are probably a better dad than Val Kilmer. Well, catch you on FB tomorrow.

Dear Dad,

Hello Father,

We should do some remodeling. Are you free the next four weekends? Also, can I borrow your truck for the month of January? (possibly extending into May).

Also, have you started listening to Mariah Carey's Christmas album yet?

Dear Dad,

Hello Father.

We should watch a holiday film on Thanksgiving. Like Predator. Get back to me and I'll see if I can reserve it on VHS.

Sincerely,

Joseph (one of your sons)
